Our Story

Learn about Medical Records Research Ireland, our mission, and the journey that led us to advocate for clarity and justice in medical-legal cases.

How It All Began

Medical Records Research Ireland was founded by Michael Daly from Limerick City — who refused to give up on finding the truth about his father’s death.

After his father died as a result of medical negligence and a system that tried to cover it up, Michael spent over a decade fighting for justice. His determination led to Ireland’s first ever second inquest, which overturned the original verdict and finally acknowledged the truth.

Through that long and painful journey, Michael discovered how many families are left lost in a maze of medical records, legal jargon, and unanswered questions. Too often, vital evidence is overlooked, or sent to the wrong kind of expert, leaving families without answers — and without justice.

Michael founded Medical Records Research Ireland to change that. He now uses his experience to help others read between the lines of medical reports, expose contradictions, and uncover the truth hidden in plain sight.

Every case he takes on is approached with compassion, care, and a promise — that no family should have to fight alone for the truth about their loved one

Our Services

At Medical Records Research Ireland, we:

  • Review and analyse full medical records from the patient’s perspective.
  • Identify key medical and procedural failings before legal proceedings begin.
  • Advise families and solicitors on which type of medical expert is best suited to the case (e.g. colorectal vs. general surgeon, radiology, ICU, etc.).
  • Prepare structured medical timelines, causation matrices, and missed opportunity reports that make complex cases easier for solicitors and experts to understand.

Michael is not a medical expert and does not give medical opinions for court. His role is advisory and analytical — helping families and solicitors see what might otherwise be missed.

Once a report is delivered and payment received, the professional relationship ends, ensuring independence and clear boundaries.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring clarity, structure, and direction to families navigating the most difficult medical-legal cases in Ireland — and to ensure that no family faces the same silence, confusion, or cover-up again. We are located in Limerick, Ireland, and dedicated to serving families across the country.

"Medical Records Research Ireland provided invaluable clarity and direction during an incredibly difficult time. Their expertise made a significant difference in understanding the complexities of our case."
